Maharaja Yoga was founded by Manoj Sharma after years of experience in management and a yoga trainer. His vision is to "initiate you to express yourself freely and helping you nourish it in your environment".

Maharaja Yoga

The word rāja means a king, sovereign, chief or the best of its kind; yoga refers to the planetary positions or associations that cause such a status. In its truest spiritual sense it implies the power to be free and implement one’s will.
 

ye yogāh śambhunā proktāh purā śailasutāgratah |

Parāsara states that the knowledge of rājayoga was taught by Sambhu (Śiva) to Śailasuta (Pārvatī) implying the importance of the Sun (symbolizing Śiva) in initiating rājayoga and the Moon (symbolizing Pārvatī) in sustaining the same.
